Since the opening of its first store in May 1981, Pague Menos has become the third largest pharmacy chain of Brazil, in number of stores, according to Brazilian Association of Pharmacies and Drugstores (“ABRAFARMA”). With the recent acquisition of Extrafarma – still under analysis by the Anti-Trust agency – , the combined enterprise should become the second largest pharmacy chain of Brazil.
Our business model is based on the product sale and services focused on the health and well-being of our clients. We operate in the specialty retail market, following the “drugstore” concept, that is, sales of reference (brand) and generic drugs, subject to medical prescription or over-the-counter (“OTC”), multivitamins products and perfumery, which includes beauty and hygiene items, composing approximately 15,6 thousands items acquired from 440 different providers. We also offer the sale of compounded medications made accordingly to our clients’ needs.
We seek to be not only a pharmacy chain, but an integrated health hub, with a different value proposition for our clients. Based on our target customer and aiming to provide even more services, we implemented “Clinic Farma” in 2016, in which our clients get, in equipped and comfortable rooms, individualized monitoring on their treatments and also access to other services like, blood pressure and diabetes check, bioimpedance analysis, vaccinations, quick laboratory exams (like COVID Tests), injectables application and others.
